Story Behind The Song

Inspired by a picture of my wife and I on the beach, she is leaning into me laughing, my ball cap is turned around backwards, we're in clothes having just arrived at the vacation house. Great memory that I hope I never forget.

Song Description

A place to escape from day to day, relax, be with family, grill, drink, walk on the beach, feel the ocean rush over your feet. Kind of a Peter Pan effect where you never grow up, never worry, enjoy life to the fullest. The bluegrass feel of the music adds to the easygoing happy feeling I wanted to bring out. Wrote this and had it recorded for my wife playing it for her the first time as we crossed into North Carolina on our way to a weeks of fun for our wedding anniversary.
