Story Behind The Song

This song was never written. It was just played as if flowing naturally from my fingers while quietly playing background music in a church service. A fellow pianist came to me after the service demanding to know what that song was. I told him I just played it for the first time, and he was incredulous.

Song Description

As the minister began to pray I played a single F note on the piano. Then a simple F chord triad with my right hand. I then played F octaves with my left/bass hand, and played an Eb triad with my right, and the song took off without me even trying. It turned into a beautiful instrumental melody that still haunts me. I later recorded it, adding strings and an acoustic guitar for melody.
