Story Behind The Song
I thought about the new role of women in the military and how they might feel if they were married to other soldiers in the battlefield of the Middle East. I wanted to capture the thoughts of wives or husbands back home about the danger their loved ones were in.
Song Description
The armed forces personnel have no front lines in the war against insurgents and terrorists, so casualties occur in all services without warning. The fear of never seeing loved ones has been so strong that the government is banning soldiers from using MySpace and UTube to contact the outside world, all for the sake of morale. This will most likely have the reverse effect on the troops.

Lyrics
I want your love, and I want it now
got to ease this tension somehow...
I want your lovin' and I want it now,
got to ease this tension somehow...
Don't you know I care?
I've got love despair
Oh, won't you take my hand out in this desert sand
make the world seem right if I should have to fight
In this Arabian night...
I need to hold you but I'm far away,
might not come back 'til my dying day...
I need to tell you things I couldn't say
you're free to come and go, but I must stay...
Don't you know I care?
I've got love despair
Oh, won't you take my hand out in this desert sand
make the world seem right if I should have to fight
In this Arabian night...
I wake and realize my mortality...
I hope disaster stays away from me;
but if I'm taken by the enemy,
at least you'll know who I was trying to be...
Don't you know I care?
I've got love to spare;
Oh, won't you take my hand out in this desert sand
make the world seem right if I should have to fight
In this Arabian night...
