Death Sentence

Story Behind The Song

The lyrics were written quite a few years before the song was put together. I had come up with a kewl riff and then stumbled upon the old lyircs lyiing around in a box. Once a read the words again, the rest of the song seemed to write itself (don't they All?). I especially like the breakdown into the last verse, the time change took a bit to convince the bass player that it would work!

Lyrics

I'm in a verge of silence
In these last days of my life
No one hears my final call
They don't recognize my strife

Even though I know the Rules
I guess it doesn't matter
I can't stay here much longer
The world just makes me sadder

Just give me a death sentence
I don't care anymore
Send me to my casket
My feelings are so sore

I as I face my final destiny
I see people from my past
Those that have died in tragedy
I hope these cold feelings won't last

My life was like a leaf
From the tree of Emotions
I feel so uncomfortable
As I make these final notions

Just give me a death sentence
I don't wanna be here
Send me to my casket
'Cuz it's life I fear
