Story Behind The Song
Produced exclusively for 2008 Dance Dance Revolution Song Contest. I decided to invite my friend Big Rap to sing some words in this song. Since the begining, the main idea was making something different then usual stuff, that could possibly surprise fans of the video game around the world. I know it was a risk putting lyrics in brazilian portuguese. Sorry, but thats the way it worked for us, fellas! Cheers!
Song Description
Miami Bass Funk Probidão carioca mixed with samba, brazilian funk beats and latin percussion, all originally recorded in Brasil, Rio de Janeiro, with great vocal performance by Big Rap, our talented local rapper, partner of internationally aclaimed DJ Marlboro. Produced by Nervoso exclusively for Dance Dance Revolution Song Contest. Street poet Big Rap composed lyrics inspired in our poor but happy quotidian, where people don´t need money to make them dance

Lyrics
Pirueta, cambalhota, entorta o corpo, abaixa levanta
De ladinho assim que é, pulando, pulando na ponta do pé
Pirueta, cambalhota, entorta o corpo, abaixa ou levanta
De ladinho assim que é, pulando, pulando na ponta do pé
Passinho pra lá
Passinho pra cá
Dance dance revolution!
Do samba de raiz ao hip-hop
Misturei samba com rap
Não quero elitizar
Apenas mora no meu sangue
Brasileiro eu sou
Mais um sem grana sim
Curto Gil, Caetano, Racionais e Tom Jobim
Cultura brasileira me inspira a rimar
Som de rua som de banda sou de favela
Estou no rio
No Rio cão sem dono
Vivo a procura de um amor para me entregar
Dance Dance Revolution
