Story Behind The Song
For a while I lived in a small country town in Australia in an old miners cottage. It was a great place to live and I wrote a lot of songs but I was dirt poor. So periodically off I would go to the big city and do a bunch of piano bar gigs. I'd play anything; anywhere for money, which led to some interesting gigs...Anyhow, Elton and Billy helped pay the rent. Maybe if you wrote Piano man you wouldn't mind playing it for a living but it really started to get to me. I moved to the country for nature but would always seemed to be driving back to the cityto earn money.

Lyrics
(verse)
we are driving to come this far
a slave to reason over this country heart
we need the money but not the stress
a concrete jungle no pilgrims rest
(chorus)
keep on moving rolling on
travel through the seasonsback to Babylon
keep on moving rolling on
travel through the seasonsback to Babylon
(verse)
we are driving into the city vibe
breathe industrial fumes an economic high
we live in boxes the suburban dream
we got to make more money
chained to the wheel
(chorus)
keep on moving rolling on
travel through the seasonsback to Babylon
keep on moving rolling on
travel through the seasonsback to Babylon
