Story Behind The Song

I was just in a happy mood and wanted to express the generous optimism of a young man in love with life and it's oportunities, and perhaps even more in love with his girlfriend.

Song Description

Each verse represents another "Walter Mitty" dream for this young man. One of the two extra verses could substitute for the second verse and the other could be an added verse. The chorus represents his love for his girfriend, whom he wishes even better things for. Some of those things are listed in the bridge, ending with his being "first man" to her president.
