I really liked the overall feel and mood of the song. The lyrics actually mean something which is a nice change in today's music. The bounce-back vocals in the chorus were a nice touch as well. The speed and timing was well planned and flows nicely from start to finish. This is a song I could get to like in a hurry!

Very original sound.

Lyrics

Dream within a Dream
words and music by Michael Wayne Avery

All that we see and all that we seem
Is just a dream within a dream

There is my heart where the long shadows lay
There is my soul where all hope burnt away

Wouldn't it be better just to forget
Than to remember and regret

Smiling faces behind broken glass
Captured moments that weren't meant to last

When Saints and sinners turn to pillars of salt
Then losers and winners will confess to a fault

All that we see and all that we seem
Is just a dream within a dream
