Sold To None (Part I)

Story Behind The Song

I don't know if saying it this way is an accurate description, but it's morbidly correct: Lost love is one of my favorite lyrical topics, and a stranger to it, this song is not. Unfortunately this song is unfinished, yet I find that the absence of a climax represents the lyrics in their true form, if you follow me. So, in an artistic way, this song is a perfect representation of what I felt when I wrote, and sang these lyrics. If you're unsure of what I mean go ahead and email me and we can talk further about it if you like.

Song Description

Starting with a grinding beat, STN drives quickly into a head stomp. Vocals jumping in sometimes sounding a little like Geddy Lee meets Bruce Dickinson. By the end of this tune, the listener is eagerly waiting for more!

Lyrics

You'll See, That I can't be strong enough
to withhold all your lies,
But I can't be your scapegoat any longer than you were mine.

All that I've fought for now, has dwindled to dust.
I will have no more of this, until I know who to trust.
I feel betrayed!
but you've played your part well.
And now that it's over, you have no one left to sell.

I thought I could trust in these feelings
(I wanted to just let it die)
But I can't change what's ingrained to this body.
(I wanted to just let it lie)
No more of pity and sorrow.
(No more of dealings with strife)
No more of saying, "Tomorrow?!"
(I'm taking control of my life!)
