Lyrics

Oo la la j'en ai marre de ces jeux
Oo la la je te quitte enfin

I've been pacing the floor all day cause I can't keep still
My mind's been running around in circles again
I've been looking for little clues at the scene of the crime
Though I think I know how this story's gonna end

The night comes down on Beacon Street
I find no refuge there
I can see your shadow running through my mind
But I can't seem to find you anywhere

The days go rushing by like the wind in the trees
That can't blow this memory away
I hear that clock ticking on the wall of the room
And all the silly words I didn't say

The night came down on Beacon Street
We could find no comfort there
We built these walls to protect ourselves
Even while the house was tumbling down

And we laughed all night under burning skies
While the world came crashing down on me
Your words are like flames blowing up around me
I surrender just to save a little dignity

The night comes down again on me
I find no refuge there
If we look inside we'll find a place to meet
Down on Beacon Street
If you look inside you'll find me
Down on Beacon Street

good production, good playing, good harmonies.

Rather a sad song about love lost or missing. It's well-played and well sung. Makes me wonder about Beacon Street. Also I wonder what the French words mean. It's definitely a song that makes you think!

Loved the intro vocal harmonies. Remind me of some stuff produced by Trevor Horn who often uses very rich vocal harmonies in the music he produces (Inga's Riding Into Blue is a good example).

Very smooth and melodious piece with really good instrumentation and arrangement. Very soulful lyrics. Starts out with a Beach Boys kind of vibe, but quickly morphs into something else. Nice instrumental. Just a very good piece from start to finish.
