Story Behind The Song
I was thinking about how my wife and I would take walks along the C&O Canal outside Washington DC amongst the Autumn trees in the brisk breezes and I thought to myself how quickly it all went.
Song Description
I have know my wife in excess of twenty years and when I looked back at the puppy love stage, it was so amazing and so very short. As the years past, we get older the love has evolved and is just as valuable but in spite of all our faults, we're still in love and we have our little moments but they come and go so quickly.

Lyrics
Rolling down Georgia Avenue
Destinations unknown
Roses without a reason
And even wearing cologne
There?s nothing else to say
We were kissing everyday
Putting that look in my eye
Oh, how quickly some times go by
Holding hands dreaming along the C&O canal
No one else within a million miles of our locale
Now, I?m gray haired and spotted and stained
My opinion of you ingrained
Years and years, arguments and tears
On this love it?s so often rained
But what am I supposed to say
When you kiss me anyway
Putting that look in my eye
Oh, how quickly some times go by
Oh, how quickly some times go by
