Story Behind The Song

I had a very dear friend who was going through a deep relational struggle in her life. I wanted to paint a picture of what she was going through, thus the birth of this piece.

Song Description

I wanted to paint a picture of someone who was going through the experience of losing someone deeply important to them. At first, there is bitterness as the individual ponders the thought of never seeing this person again. Then as time goes on, there is the realization that this experience was worth the pain as they accept the fact that just having that special person in their life (though temporarily) was an incredible blessing as some may never experience this type of love in a lifetime. This is why I presented the change of mood near the end of the piece, which is a sweet surprise to most listeners.
