Story Behind The Song
Wrote the song first about a theme of lost innocence (hence, "summers last forever, and you believed in dreams." While heading into the studio to perform it, made some last minute lyrical changes and the song transformed into this epic.
Song Description
Sung for those fallen in 9/11, particularly thinking of all the fire fighters, police and rescue people who so bravely tried to help and perished in their bravery and courage. Angel are with them in heaven.

Lyrics
AUTOMATIC
It used to be every thing was automatic
a diamond in your had was diamond in the ruff
Summers last for ever, and you believe in dreams
Seems like we?ve been here, feels like we?ve been here
I think we?ve been here before
Veiled in Technology, twisted theology
taken for granted no more
Things are never, ever the same
a thing I know, as angles sing in heaven they remain
and your freedom, freedom will reign
and a thing I learned, as angels sing in
Heaven they remain
From time to time everything is quite erratic
predictability is a feint memory
You find its unbelievable when you think about the past
A learned hypocrisy can?t take democracy
don?t tell me already know
Things are never, ever the same, a thing I know, as angels sing in
heaven they remain, and your freedom, freedom will reign
A thing I learned, as angels sing in heaven they remain
Like a cloud above the sky, like an echo in the night, and when I look you in the
eye?As angels sing in heaven in the rain
Things are never, ever the same, a thing I know, as angels sing in
heaven they remain, and your freedom, freedom will reign
A thing I learned, as angels sing in heaven they remain
