I try to hold the pieces together but they keep slipping out of place.
Seem?s like my life has been this way forever. You can read the story written on my face.
I?ve run hard to catch a dream. Thought I had it in my hand.
Then, like my falling self esteem, it fell right through like sand.

Feels like I?m getting old. Time?s running out on me.
My heart is turning cold. Need to set my worries free.

I wonder how much longer I can make it.
I don?t know how I?ll keep on keeping on.
My strength might be around but I doubt it can be found.
And, some days, I just don?t want to play Hide and Seek.


I?m tired of all the failed romances and of all the rights gone wrong.
Too tired to play the game of taking chances. I?ve heard too many lies for too long.

I want a love to last me through this lifetime and to share the load for a while.
