Story Behind The Song

The song was inspired by an episode of a cartoon called Speedy Gonzales in which these two cats were trying desperately to catch Speedy. The skinny cat tells the fat cat they should go after Slowpoke Rodriguz instead of Speedy. So they go after Slowpoke, but he pulls out a big gun. You then see the skinny cat covered with gunpowder and cinders as black smoke rises from his charred whiskers and he says to the fat cat, "Senior, One thing I forget to tell you, Slowpoke Rodriguz, HE PACKS A GUN". The song is about three mice who meet up at a tavern where they find that they all have one thing in common. Slowpoke Rodriguz stole something from each of them. For the first mouse, his tequila was taken, for another his jumping beans were stolen. For the third mouse, his poor sweet Maria was taken by the nefarious Slowpoke Rodriguz. The song is filled with the halarious sound of these mice describing their fear & turmoil while plotting their revenge against Slowpoke. The listener can almost see a cartoon before your eyes when you listen to this song. You can see the flamenco guitar playing mouse & the chorus girl mice, etc...

Song Description
