Story Behind The Song
I believe I wrote this song after I watched the movie "The Gospel of John" directed by Philip Saville and narrated by Christopher Plummer. I was so inspired by it, how the best-loved of the four Gospels, vividly came to life by the powerful dramatization of the Biblical text. I felt as if I was there, when Jesus said "I am the bread of life", and "I am the living water". I wholeheartily agreed, for after I ate and drank, I would never hunger, thirst or be homeless again, Never Again!
Song Description
Never Again is based on the gospel of John and is evangelistic to the core. This song is my testimony. I was once in the darkness , God came and spoke to me , then there was light in my life ? and it was good. "Never Again" takes you back to the very beginning where it all started and ends with a joyful hope that it will all end well. Because of his love He is still with us through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit and never again will I walk in darkness, be formless or empty. Amen!
