yes getting used to this artist always doing a nice job

    - Patrick E. Muth/Catnip Pat

Very good and very soulful piece. Love the rough voice. It puts you to mind of some of the great folk and rock voices of days gone by. Keeping it acoustic is a very good choice, because nothing should be taken away from these lyrics.

Lyrics

it was a hot summer night under memphis moonlight
judy holding my hand by the shore
caught in a raging fire struggling to remember what freedom was for
then came the morning she left without a warning
after clinging to my body in my bed
we were two reckless lovers breaking rules
living out of our heads

staring out the window rolling down the highway
kisses linger on the blanket in the park
memories like photographs fading in the rain
storm clouds are gathering in the dark
i remember a morning she came without a warning
jumped into the front seat of my car
she sailed into the sunset and left me in the corner of this bar

the winds of change are blowing on this lonely heart of mine
like an old man sitting on his front porch knowing
he just ran out of time

years roll by i sit and wonder why that heartache stopped me
dead in my tracks
all the broken vows with regret i wonder how
i let that dream go by with sadness in her eye and tears
like the river flows
every night i feel the winds blow

the winds of change are blowing on this lonely heart of mine
like an old man sitting on his front porch knowing
he just ran out of time
