Dare To Dream

Story Behind The Song

I started writing Dare To Dream about a year ago. It was the first song that was entirely about ME...I wear very pretty rings that look like glass but they actually came out of a bubble gum machine. I am extremely spiritual and I believe in fairies and magical things. I let my own fears of my capabilities get in the way of my dream of writing and publishing music for many years. I finally realized that I had the power to create what I want in life and that to follow my dream I had to change my entire lifestyle, give up good for great, even if others look at me like I'm crazy. I can't worry about yesterday and those drops of rain and I am following my yellow brick road and that it will be paved in gold, because I dare to dream.

Song Description

Most people believe in the magical things in life, the fairies and the dragonflys and that life is truly happenstance, but most don't want to admit to it so they also allow their fears to stop them from following their dreams, their yellow brick road. The rain drops of today aren't the rain drops of tomorrow and that if you have a dream then you must know that you have the power to make them happen and you just have to throw away the things you don't really need and you can't worry about what other people think of the path you're taking, you just have to believe in yourself and focus on your passion. The key is to make our lives all that we can and eventually see that our yellow brick road is paved in gold.

Lyrics

Verse I
Pretty girl, wearing bubblegum rings, do you believe in princes and magical things. If there is truth that firefly's and fairies dance and wings of dragonfly's bring chance, perhaps life is, happenstance.

Chorus:
Do you dare to dream, do you believe in life and love and the inbetween. Have you thrown away, the everythings and anythings that hold you in a place. and like the leaf out in the rain, catching drops of yesterday, is the road less traveled the one you know and your yellow brick road, is it paved in gold, is it paved in gold, is it paved in gold.

Verse II
Is that your star, shining right outside your door. Have you put aside your fears cause you know there's something more. Does the world look at you like your utterly insane, you have the power, now it's your game. truly life is what you make.

Bridge:
Lasso the moon to guide you thru the night. dream big and know that there's a stage for your spotlight, it's the magic in your heart.

Final Chorus:
Do you dare to dream, do you believe in life and love and the inbetween. Have you thrown away, the everythings and anythings that hold you in a place. and like the leaf out in the rain, it's gone now just like yesterday, cause the road you traveled wasn't just for show and your yellow brick road, oh it's paved in gold, yes it's paved in gold, it was paved in gold, it was paved in gold, it's your yellow brick road.
