Song Description

A reggae inspired song about how we get a clean slate every day.....so just do your best!We get a bit "result" oriented in our world of "instant gratification. We keep our eyes on the prize and never see the journey.

Story Behind the Song

This actually began as an little exercise to find as many rhyming words as possible. I began with "ay" words and moved on to each new syllable finding rhymes and constructing sentences

NEW DAY 2.1.15 Music and lyrics by Lisa Crouch

VERSE 1
One day, two day, red day, blue day, haven't got a clue day
It's happening ev'ry day, nothing going our way, haven't got a lot to say
Go to work anyway, can't not go today. Will I ever be ok?
Doing it the hard way, forget about yesterday. Ev'ry day's a new day

PRECHORUS
It's not a contest, just got to do your best

CHORUS
Oh oh oh oh oh oh ev'ry day's a new day
Oh oh oh oh oh oh ev'ry day's a new day

VERSE 2
Time for a new plan, just come on and take my hand. You and me and ev'ry man
It's not hard to understand, together we can make a stand. Come with me I know you can

PRECHORUS

CHORUS

BRIDGE
We don't look for the dark clouds of tomorrow
When we see the sunshine today woah woah
