Song Description

My Dad had prostate cancer and, even though we knew he was not long for this world, his death still saddened us greatly. 6 weeks after he passed I wrote this song. It's telling him that even though we are sad and we missed him, we are ok.

Story Behind the Song

The song was written 6 weeks after my father passed away. It's telling him I'll be ok

Lyrics

I'm Ok Music and lyrics by Lisa Crouch
CHORUS
Bit by bit - I'm picking up the pieces Inch by inch - one step at a time
Day by day - just trying to make it work, when my heart it broken up inside
Ev'ry little thing - makes me think about you Got you in my heart - like a new tattoo
Gotta tell myself - that your happier now. I want to let you now that I'm ok

VERSE
6 weeks seems like a lifetime but it's flashing by real fast
Each day throws me a lifeline, now I've got it in my grasp
No point saying what I shoulda coulda done, cos it doesn't matter now
I raise my eyes and I see another sun....nothing's gonna stop me now

CHORUS

VERSE
Ev'ry single day in a million diff'rent ways, I feel the empty space
See it in the tears of my Mother's eyes, see it in my face
No point saying that I can't go on, gotta find a way how
I raise my eyes and I see another sun....nothing's gonna stop me now

CHORUS to fade
