I like that the song can be interpreted in a few different ways! I personally wrote it about the last few moments of a woman who is passing away with her husband by her side. She is ready to move on and she is comforting him telling him she is ready and everything is going to be okay. Obviously he is sad....cuz his wife is dieing, but the story is meant to be beautiful and an appreciation for being ready to let go

I wrote this song in an empty living room of a house I had just moved into. I started with the first two chords of the song and the words "Day light comes close" were what the chords sounded like to me. I just went off of that into a story I created in my head.
