Song Description

Rock-n-Roll Dream is a song about a struggling songwriter/musician that is trying to write a hit song and put his name on the map. The song begins with a sleepless night in which he decides to take a walk in the middle of the night. During the walk he is searching for the words and melodies that will make his song a hit. During this walk, he begins to realize that he also needs to believe in himself, and ultimately discovers that this is what was holding him back all along. You'll have to listen to the song to hear the rest of the story. This is an upbeat rock song with an inspiring story line.

Story Behind the Song

This song was inspired by the struggle many artists endure while trying to write a successful song.

Lyrics

Midnight walk
I need to get away
Clear out my head
From all these thoughts of the day

There's a chill in the night
Breeze in the air
Sounds of melodies
Soar on winds unaware

I'll paint my picture for the world
Find the message that I need
As I seek out the words
To finally set me free

I'll keep searching for a better way
I swear I'll make it one day

Chasin' down that Rock-n-Roll Dream
Prayin' for that break that I so desperately need
With my heart on the line
And my head in the game

I'll take my best shot
Ridin' on this Rock-n-Roll Train

The sun will rise soon
And clear this misty haze
Time to cast out my doubts
And chase my fears away

I'm taking hold of the dream
This time I'll do it right
There's no turnin' back
Not goin' down without a fight

And nothings gonna stop me now
I'll get there somehow

Chasin' down that Rock-n-Roll Dream
Prayin' for that break that I so desperately need
With my heart on the line
And my head in the game
I'll take my best shot
Ridin' on this Rock-n-Roll Train

Here on this stage
I'm just so amazed
Thousands are here
They scream and they cheer
I think back to that day
When everything changed
When I finally broke free
I just had to believe!

Livin' out that Rock-n-Roll Dream
Music and emotions takin' life to extremes
With my heart on the line
And my head in the game
I finally found my calling
Ridin' on this Rock-n-Roll Train

Ohh this Rock-n-Roll Train
Yeah, this Rock-n-Roll Train
Ohh this Rock-n-Roll Train
Ohh this Rock-n-Roll Train
