Farmer Jones had gathered his family together 3 girls 2 boys and his wife
And they were all about to do something he'd only done
2 or 3 times in his whole life.
Ya see, it hadn't rained on their little farm in something like 3 years
So they was gonna pray!
These was desperate times... called for desperate measures.
And Jones said: "Lord I know You ain't heard from us one whole heck of a lot
But that don't mean You ain't been on our minds
From time to time, believe it or not.
Now I don't mean to stand here and get all whiny,
But this drought is really kickin' our hiney
So we could sho'nuff use some rain." Then the whole family said "Amen!"

And the rain started comin' down
The storm clouds darkened the sky.
And the thunder shook the house around the family.
And they all ran out, and they raised their hands
And they looked up to the sky
And Jones said...

Never mind Lord it's rainin'.
