Song Description

a powerful ballad about love almost lost but given a second chance

Story Behind the Song

I originally wrote this song for one of my girlfriends to present to her husband for Valentine's Day. While I was writing it, I thought about my husband and I, and how much we love each other, how grateful we are to have found each other, and how thankful we are to God for bringing (and keeping!) us together - we ain't seen NOTHIN' yet!

I want to grow old with you,
I want to hold you through the good times and bad.
I?ll spend all my days with you,
And all of the long nights, too, happy or sad.

We were meant to be,
I can?t wait to see
Just how good it can get ?
Let?s stick together ?
?Cuz we ain?t seen nothin? yet!

We had a tough time at first,
But God gave us a thirst to learn of His will.
He showed us a better way to live our lives today,
And He?s with us still!

We drew near to Him,
Then He could begin
To make our dreams come true ?
He said, ?Stick with Me, children ?
I?ll give you life anew!?

So many times we?ve tried to do it on our own ?
Only His love will make us strong!

So we?ve been given a second chance to have a great romance
And a lifetime of love.
Oh ? what could be better than having each other AND
The Father above?

We were meant to be
I can?t wait to see
Just what God has in store ?
Let?s stick with Him, darling ?
He?s given us a new world to explore!

We were meant to be,
I can?t wait to see
Just what God has in store ?
He said, ?Stick with Me, children??
We gotta stick with Him, darlin??
Let?s stick together, baby ?
?Cuz we ain?t seen nothin? yet!
