Lyrics
Laura-Lee Blake January 9, 2010 You're my Hero
We all know that famous lady,
Florence Nightengale.
A nursing icon from the war that was
Inspirational...... to a lot of young girls.
Lookin' back I can see her there, all dressed
In white.
A healing angel full of love, workin' day
And night..........to make a better world.
But it wasn't Florence that I saw.
I'm proud to say it was my Mom.
There's somethin' I just gotta say,
There's somethin' you should know.
She's more than just my mother.
Momma, you're my hero.
She was gone an awful lot, as I was
Growin' up.
But I've seen the good she's done, and all the lives
She's touched........I feel so blessed.
It's a special kind of soul that does the things
You do.
I know it won't be easy, when they try to fill
Your shoes..................Oh, you'll be missed.
She was doin' what she loved to do.
I'm proud to share my Mom with you.
There's somethin' I just gotta say,
There's somthin' you should know.
She's more than just my mother.
Momma, you're my hero.
There's somethin' I just gotta say,
There's somthin' you should know.
She's more than just my mother.
Momma, you're my hero.
Momma, you're my hero.
