Song Description

Understanding that relationships change and that people should be accepting of that and grateful for the past experiences.

Story Behind the Song

I had the same group of friends throughout junior high, then in high school we all went our separate ways. I wrote the song as an ode to what we all used to have.

Lyrics

Here?s to You

Verse:
They say all change is for the better
But I don?t think I?m ready to be moving on
All of the time we passed together
And the way we got along
And although I don?t say
I feel it anyway
Well here?s what?s on my mind
I never knew that change was this hard
Familiar faces not a single hello
I knew someday it would come
I just thought you should know
And although I don?t say
I feel it anyway

Chorus:
So here?s to you and everything we had
All the good and bad, I?ll cherish it forever
You know I?ll always be right there
You?re friendship?s above the rest
And I wish you all the best
Here?s to you

Verse:
I turn around and see what we had
Now I look and everything?s gone
Will you even look back and remember me
When it?s all said and done
And although I don?t say
I feel it anyway

CHORUS

Bridge:
Do you understand where I?m coming from
It?s about you
Will you recognize my face
When it?s through
And although I don?t say
I feel it anyway
