The Things You Lose In The Ocean tells the story of Grace, a stoic woman of Trinidad, and Jilly-Ann, her precocious twelve year old daughter as they come to America to work at the Carrington Residence. There, Grace is forced to confront the mistakes of her past in order to save her daughter from a danger that has followed them from home. In this tragic tale of love and loss, an evil from beyond the grave appears to tear apart mother from child.

Song Description

Grace tries to warn Jilly-Ann that she believes she was visited by a ghost child who is trying to lure her to her death. Jilly-Ann becomes angry and Grace decides to tell her the story that has haunted her since her own childhood. A story where her own friend Caroline died in an accident.
