Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song in response to the fact that the law in the UK was after certain people within the music business in those days, however insignificant their 'crimes'.
This is another of the Decca demos and I can only imagine how people like Joe Cocker

This is a protest song written in 1967 and is set an uncareing court room. The prisoner is being told that anything he says will be ignored.
