Story Behind The Song

This piece was written for a game level set in Los Angeles. I was largely inspired by Hideki Naganuma's genius sample-heavy approach to music that blends multiple genres. This hodgepodge style to making music out of disparate sampled material is also a signature of the Dust Brothers, so Beck and the Dust Brothers' albums Odelay and Guero were also references for me.

Song Description

Instrumental Alternative Hip-Hop/Rock in the vein of Beck, The Dust Brothers, and Hideki Naganuma. Laid back Hip Hop-styled acoustic bass line leads vinyl beats, electric guitar mellotron riffs, and syncopated bongos and congas.
