Story Behind The Song
Song came to me with a feeling of empathy for soldiers fighting or serving in a hostile place and I had in mind somewhere like Iraq or somewhere in the Middle East region but to be truthful the lyrics apply to any soldier serving in any capacity, anywhere
Song Description
It is not a negative slant on war or any moral issue but just a moment of reflection on what that person might or could be doing beyond the question "what's the fighting for?" ( I can't say no/ I just don't know )

Lyrics
Soldier!
You could be lazy, you could be crazy,
it could be hazy, it could be daisies.
You could be me or I could be you.
We could be happy. We could be healthy.
We could have everything in this world. We could be wealthy.
If we didn?t have war. What?s the fighting for?
( I just don?t know/can?t say no)
You could be lying. You could be sighing.
You could be flying. You could be trying
Legions of forgotten names, forgotten souls.
A dream goes on forever. War is not a means to peace.
Can I get a woop?
You could be naked. You could be loving.
Rising, midst the pushing and shoving
Lord, release. Lord, peace.
