Story Behind The Song
The melody was used in a musical I composed called "Spirit of the Tree," with book and lyrics by Robin Brownfield. Robin had added lyrics to an earlier melody I wrote, with the title "One Thousand Years." It was the opening song. If we ever get back to working the musical, this song will be there.
