Story Behind The Song
Personal song written for my wife about our courtship. Fictional story describing the very real experience. 2nd Verse is sung from a perspective that hasn't occured yet but is of a great romance later in life with her.
Song Description
Set in the country one a hot summer night at a dance hall in the south... Two young partygoers meet and have a wild night as they fall in love. The setting changes in the second verse to that same couple with family still wildly in love reflecting on reliving that first night.

One summer night in old LeJeune
You took me from a dance hall room
And kissed me with a whisper bite
New lovers born in the night
As I recall your silken dress
Nothing more and nothing less
I wished I may you said I might
Red linin? dashboard lights
You?re in me
You?re in my life
You?re my light
In the night
(repeat)
As time has passed with no regard
Our love is such we?ll never part
Our children laugh at tales we tell
In their eyes we see ourselves
But when the air is warm in June
You with me and me with you
I think about that summer night
The time of our lives?
