Well I got a Country Band and I make my livin this way

I dont make a lot a money but it sure is fun to play

and when the sun goes down thats when I earn my pay


I dont get up in the mornin and I dont answer to no one

my lifes about livin and havin a whole lot a fun

and when the crowd goes home thats when my work days done


Everybody comes at night just to hear them guitar sounds

they all get a little rowdy when we really start gettin down

their all dancin and drinkin layin their money down


Well we cut a little record and I knew we was on our way

playin every night spot from Nashville to LA

and I just know were gonna make it big some day


Got a variety a music got a song for everyone

you want a cry you want a rock you want a boogie we can get it on

you can clap your hands everybody sing a long


Well they said that I wouldn't ever amount to any thing

now they pay big money just to come and hear me sing

with my name in lights I'm livin out my dream

now I'm a playin in the spot light to my own Country Music fans
