Story Behind The Song

Recovering from surgery several years ago, spent a lot of time during a beautiful warm season of excellent weather. Had the privilege of watching a baby bird learn to fly and become independent. The mother bird hovered in the periphery as the young bird became able to care for itself. It took two days to do this. It took place in the evenings. During the day they both seemed to disappear but in the evenings both evenings they both emerged. It was very peaceful and a real honor to have that opportunity.

Song Description

Instrumental written from a piano composition inspired by watching a mother bird guard her baby bird as it learned to fly. The use of flutes is very obvious but was effective.
