Story Behind The Song
This song and my song #143 are about the same person. That relationship was my first long term relationship and it lasted about two years or so. During this period I don't think I was ever happy and that's basically what this song is about. I also reflect on how hard I tried and how much I gave, but to no avail. I guess that's why this song now exists and not the relationship.

Lyrics
Verse 1
When I see you walk through that door
It doesn?t mean anything anymore
Because I was very into your love
Felt like I couldn?t get enough
Something in me tried so hard
Something in me fell so far
I thought the only one in my life
With a heart as close to mine
Chorus 1
Was you all I wanted was you
Next thing I know we?re through
I guess you had me fooled
And all I ever fought to know
Was to know what?s wrong
And how you let it show
Verse 2
When all is said and done
Did we really have that much fun
As pain free as I wanted to be
Everywhere was where we went wrong
Made all that time seem endlessly long
Never could get comfortable
Always worried about when you?d get bored
Chorus 2
I never felt in love
Until the time you said
This was not enough
I never held your heart
So let?s not pretend
This is all my fault
Verse 3
But that?s all under the bridge now
I made it through somehow
To try again it?s too late babe
With nothing left to complicate
For both of us this will work out right
I wish you love all through your life
But I won?t be there to give that love
I?m sorry baby I gave enough
Chorus 3
And when we should meet again
We can take some time
Maybe both be friends
But for now I can?t work it out
I can?t forget the things
That always made me down
All I ever wanted to do
Was take some time in loving you
All I ever wanted to do
Was take some time in loving you
