Story Behind The Song
Song is one title of a 10-song series about country music and western style lyrics, titled "Stories of the WEST". It started off as a fun songwriting project with lyricwriters David Darbyshire & Terence Lax with which I could explore software and equipment of newly installed homestudio. Catch Those Chickens was my first bluegrass style of song I ever did.
Song Description
Demo was done as "a day in the life of" presentation of what it is like living in a little house "where the tumbleweed blows". Next to hopefully acceptable imitations of "Hank", the Parries themselves and some chickens, other "actors" in this song are presented as singer "Sunshine Billy" (at beginning and end of song) and someone doing the introduction and closing of this recording.
