Song Description

This describes the recent depression I have been suffering from following the passing away of my twin brother in 2010.

Story Behind the Song

As soon as the depression lifted and I could compose again, I did, writing directly into the illness that had afflicted me, ensuring through my music that it can't come back!

Lyrics

I lost a soul that loved me, and I loved too -
A brother is the other half of all you do.
And I should know.
Why did he have to go?
It brought me to depression, which scared me to death,
Running through the black smoke,
Suddenly my heart just broke.

Depression, depression, obsession, regression,
Depression, confession, suppression, depression.
Down, down, down, down,
Down, down, down, down - depression!

Depression it can kill you and wreak your soul,
But love and real caring they can make you whole.
And I should know -
I've just been through the show.
I lay in bed and trembled, a real worried child.
Stumbling through the nerve pain
I don't wanna feel again.

Depression, depression, obsession, regression,
Depression, confession, suppression, depression.
Down, down, down, down,
Down, down, down, down - depression!

Get yourself surrounded by love -
People who know what you're thinking of.
They'll know what to say
To make your depression go a-away.

Depression, depression, obsession, regression,
Depression, confession, suppression, depression.
Down, down, down, down,
Down, down, down, down - depression!

Depression, depression, obsession, regression,
Depression, confession, suppression, depression.
Down, down, down, down,
Down, down, down, down - depression.
(Spoken): But not any more!
