Song Description

The bankers, through their greed & mismanagement, have landed the whole planet in an economic and financial crisis unseen since the Great Depression. They should suffer for it ... preferably by being eaten!

Story Behind the Song

The idea of writing a song about the credit crunch was suggested to me by a songwriter friend of mine. It is especially poignant for me because a dear member of my family was brought to his knees by all this. As a result he has now sadly passed away. Eat the bankers!

Lyrics

We're gonna save the world from pain,
We've got a special plan.
We're gonna get things back again
As fast as we darn well can.

After all, who on earth got us in this mess?

It was the bankers, it was the bankers, a bunch of wah-wah-wah, well I don't know.
We can't defeat them - we're gonna eat them
'Cos that's the only way to go, go, go!

Crunch, crunch, crunch, we're gonna munch, munch, munch -
We'll eat the whole darn bunch, this is the credit crunch.
Scrunch, scrunch, scrunch, we'll have them for our brunch,
And several more for lunch, this is the credit crunch.

We're gonna put an end to this,
We've gotta turn things round.
Simply because of greediness
They've brought us all crashing down.

After all, who on earth, got us in this mess?

We'll eat the bankers, we'll eat the bankers, a bunch of wah-wah-wah, well I don't know.
We won't defy them - we're gonna fry them
'Cos that's the only way to go, go, go!

Crunch, crunch, crunch, we're gonna munch, munch, munch -
We'll eat the whole darn bunch, this is the credit crunch.
Scrunch, scrunch , scrunch, we'll have them for our brunch,
And several more for lunch, this is the credit crunch.

Mavis Cox has lost her stocks and shares,
Now her children have no socks to wear.
Mister Fox can't take more shocks, and not one banker cares!

We're gonna stop things getting worse
Except for the bankers' wives.
They'll have to suffer for this curse
Their husbands screwed up our lives.

After all, who on earth, got us in this mess?

It was the bankers, it was the bankers, a bunch of wah-wah-wah, well I don't know.
We can't defeat them - we're gonna eat them
'Cos that's the only way to go, go, go!

Crunch, crunch, crunch, we're gonna munch, munch, munch -
We'll eat the whole darn bunch, this is the credit crunch.
Scrunch, scrunch, scrunch, we'll have them for our brunch,
And several more for lunch, this is the credit crunch.

Crunch, crunch, crunch, we're gonna munch, munch, munch -
We'll eat the whole darn bunch, this is the credit crunch.
Scrunch, scrunch, scrunch, we'll have them for our brunch,
And several more for lunch, this is the credit crunch.

To screams and fadeout...

A bitter, vicious attack (with a touch of humour) on those who have caused financial problems for all of us. The bankers, through their greed & mismanagement, have landed the whole planet in an economic and financial crisis unseen since the Great Depression. They should suffer for it ... preferably by being eaten!
