Story Behind The Song
Once again, a song written on my $99 Casio keyboard. Like so many others, it arrived as I was trying to rewrite some other song, now lost. I remember playing it for my wife Laura for the first time on the balcony of her old place. I miss that place.

Lay Down Beside Me
When I was a boy I was alive...
All the years of darkness left me blind.
But now I see you,
And I feel you -
How am I to keep our love alive?
Lay down beside me one more time.
Hold me now, hold your hand in mine.
Nothing fills the space you left behind -
But I don't mind, I don't mind.
Noone's come to wake me all this time...
Nothing fills the darkness in my life.
But now I see you,
And I feel you -
How am I to keep our love alive?
Lay down beside me one more time.
Hold me now, hold your hand in mine.
Nothing fills the space you left behind -
But I don't mind, I don't mind.
