Song Description

Just hastily put this one up because it's entered the funk chart! Still needs Naomi's vocal instead of my rubbish one though! It's about Orangutans and a sneaky little drink we used to have in Malaysia!

Playlists this song is on:
Lyrics

I met a lot of funky monkey's in my time as I travelled all around the world; it gives me spunk, and as I vibe with the funk I sing a little song in my head like this:
ayee ayee idee aye ayee ayee idee aye!
Swing up to the trees and sing it again
ayee ayee idee aye ayee ayee idee aye!
Dance the funky monkey night away.
But then I got to a town that frowned with inhibitions
Had a kind of monkey prohibition
What d'ya do?
What d'ya say?
Swing round the trees, 'n' funk anyway.
But when I got to the love shack and walked through the door
I fell down the stairs
Flat on the floor
I had mud on my face, a big disgrace
Banana skins all over the place; I heard a voice
Why don't we get aboard the crazy boat to our island in the sun.
We gotta lotta funky monkey drink and there's enough for everyone

If you wanna have a funky drunk monkey time then I know just the place to go, it's not here, it's way out of reach right down the beach where they're putting on a funky drunken monkey show.
It's a crazy little beast with an aromatic wiff. Might make you stumble might make you think
But if you feel a bit stiff and it's not too much trouble then I highly recommend to you to befriend an orangutan.
Knock back the years
Get monkey-fied ears with orangutan
Wipe away the tears the crocodlie tears from your eyes.
There ain't no other wild thing that can wibble wibble sing like an orangutan
Grow hair on the back of your hand
When the taste is on your lips you know, you gotta shake down from your head to your toes.
Swingin through the trees, you gotta wiggle your hips, vibrate your body.
Come on , come on , come on with me, won't you please please?

And with my monkey-fied mind I felt like a king and with new monkey friends I felt the deep desire to sing
Once again I got back on the crazy boat, heard a little song in my head:

ayee ayee idee aye ayee ayee idee aye!
Swing up to the trees and sing it again
ayee ayee idee aye ayee ayee idee aye!
Dance the funky monkey night away.

If you get off the crazy boat then there's one thing you should know.
You're gonna take the taste of monkey drink to wherever you will go

When the taste is on your lips you know, you gotta shake down from your head to your toes.
Swingin through the trees, you gotta wiggle your hips, vibrate your body.
Come on , come on , come on with me, won't you please please?

With an orangutan.
Knock back the years
Get monkey-fied ears with orangutan
Wipe away the tears the crocodlie tears from your eyes.
There ain't no other wild thing that can wibble wibble sing like an orangutan
Grow hair on the back of your hand with an
Orangutan!
