Story Behind The Song
This song was originally written for a Christmas project, based off of the story of Mary and her cousin Elizabeth in the Bible. I imagine Elizabeth comforting Mary in her uncertainty, giving her confidence that this baby is indeed the Savior of the world
Song Description
This inspirational song describes the longing and waiting that the world felt before the arrival of the birth of Jesus. It builds dramatically in the bridge and talks about how Jesus is the One we've been waiting for to save us, redeem us, restore us, us

Lyrics
Verse 1:
Prophets foretold
Awaiting the Savior's birth
When God would unfold
His plan for the universe
Prechorus:
Though others try to say it isn't true
Just remember what He's done for you
Chorus:
He is the One, He is the Lord
This child that you carry, this babe you hold
He will be great, He will be bruised
But He's come to save us, the broken and abused
He is the One
He is the One
Verse 2:
From throne to a manger
Who could imagine this
No longer a stranger
Sealed with a heavenly kiss
Prechorus:
Though others try to say He couldn't be
Just remember how He rescued me
Bridge:
He is the One who will save us
The One who will raise us
The One who redeems, the One who receives
He's the One who's forever
The One who will never be shaken
'Cause He is the One
Prechorus:
Though others try to say He couldn't be
Just remember
Coda:
He is the One
He is the One
He is the One
He is the One
He's the only One
