Lyrics

Something Bigger/Nobody Knows
©Jeffrey C. Ashbaker 5-15-2015

So much has come and gone, but so much is here
So much is far beyond...me, but one thing is clear
When you gotta overcome things, the truth sets you free
And you will believe in something, that you'll never see
So leave your trinkets on the shelf
Yeah, There's something bigger than yourself

--- Chorus ---
Oh, listen to the wind that blows
Listen to the river as it runs
I get the feeling that nobody knows
The meaning of the rising sun
Or the mystery of the kingdom come
-----------------

I heard some talk about a devil and an angel, that some folks believe
And the theory of an alien or a stranger, on a mission to conceive
Who am I to judge your feelings, and trump what you perceive
But who are you to scoff my notion, and call me naïve'
Its times like these, we need some help
Good thing there's something bigger than ourselves

-Repeat Chorus-

--Bridge--
Yeah, our hope, it rises; as our lives go down
And this world just keeps on spinning; spinning around

-Solo Verse Break-
Recall the trust, that you once felt
When there was something bigger than yourself

-Repeat Chorus-
