Song DescriptionWho Hears The Cry? The cry of the little ones who are homeless, in orphanages around the world... who are hurting and reaching out in hope.
Story Behind the SongBased upon my personal experience of going to an orphanage, daily for approximately 30 days. I'm blessed to have a beautiful baby girl from that experience. Though, the memory of those left behind still haunt my heart.
Lyrics
Forgotten children sing a different song
Not of lullaby?s, happiness or cheer
Their little eyes tell a story
Of a life spent in desperate fear
When a day passes by to them
it must seem like years
Are their cries heard in the night?
As their loneliness weeps tender tears.
chorus
Who hears the cry of the lonely child?
As they close their eyes, with no place to lay their head.
Who feels their pain, of the hunger deep within.
Who hears this child, hears this child, hears this child, cry?
Though deserted and abandoned
God has not forgotten them
They are precious in His sight
He keeps them in His arms and holds them tight
What greater gift can we give
To extend to them arms of mercy
To reach out to them
And wrap them in warm arms of love
Repeat chorus
