Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song after a period of months of constant bitter fighting with my wife, and in particular just after a particularly nasty one. My Steve Perry harmony influences are evident in the outro of the song.
Song Description
This song was my way of telling my wife I would make more of attempt of listening to what she had to say rather than just waiting to say my turn.

Lyrics
I am hardly breathing,
As I listen to your voice,
Part of me refusing,
Just to leave it,
You and I cannot agree,
It's as much a part of you,
As it is a part of me,
You can't trust these feelings,
Though they seem so clear,
I know you don't believe it but I,
See the pain that I have made,
If I listen to your words and I don't hear you,
I will find a reason,
And I will try,
To see your point of view what you believe in,
It's nothing I can't realize,
With open eyes,
In your life,
But I may not agree with it,
Though you know I'll find a reason,
I have rarely been there,
When you needed me for more,
Than I had to give you,
I retreated
I didn't want to see it,
All the years I've sheared,
From a distance you've been near and I,
Turned my back on yesterday,
And when you,
Needed me I walked away,
I will find a reason,
And I will try,
To see your point of view what you believe in,
It's nothing I can't realize,
With open eyes,
In your life,
But I may not agree with it,
Though you know I'll find a reason,
Now I realize what I have made,
You know I've I've had to learn from my mistakes,
I will find a reason,
And I will try,
To see your point of view what you believe in,
It's nothing I can't realize,
With open eyes,
In your life,
But I may not agree with it,
Though you know I'll find a reason,
I will find a reason,
And I will try,
To see your point of view what you believe in,
It's nothing I can't realize,
With open eyes,
In your life,
But I may not agree with it,
Though you know that I will try,
