Such Beauty


The world is filled with majesty.
It's so humbling in might.
There seems no end to all the wonders.
And everything seems so right.

But just beneath the surface.
Lies so much heartache and fear.
And for each new beginning.
There's an ending always near.

Suffering abounds and death's all around.
We're sinking in its grip.
We seek the meaning and pray to know why.
In the midst of the wonder such beauty dies.

From African plains to Far Eastern fields.
Things revolve on a relative scale.
The search for shelter or the next meal.
And so many won't prevail.

With forgotten cries for the fallen.
We get lost in the fight to survive.
And while pretending no such moments.
Creatures fail in the run for their lives.

From the luck of the draw or fatal flaws.
Faith begins to slip - away.
Death may dwell and linger or it may be quick.
And so many won't exist - tomorrow.

We turn to Jesus, who shows us the way.
By the blood of Jesus, we're born again one day.
We come to the cross, and it tells us why.
