New Tarp On Our Trailer Tonight
©2008 Words and Music by Warren Hein

I took a chance and checked on you,
I was gone too long
On your face I saw what I had hoped The hurt I caused you
Had finally faded on
With a teary smile you held the tarp and rope

That nasty storm blew in right on time
Just let it pour, the anger's gone,
Your smiling eyes still shine
You've never looked so lovely,
It's never felt so right
There's a new tarp on our trailer tonight

We feel the thunder shake these walls
As we drink our beers
We talk about the days I stayed away
In this dim old trailer light
We talk about that stupid fight
Thank God you smiled when I asked to stay

I took a chance and checked on you
I was gone too long...

Authentic country song. Telling a story about real life.

Great song with a great vocal puts a cherry on top.....good job....

Great writing on this one. Tells the story. Paints the picture. Leaves the listener wanting to hear it one more time. Original idea/image -- which is hard to pull off. You did it, man.

Nice lyrics and story. Great instrumentation, vocals and harmonies.

Love the violin and pleasant drums, not too overpowering.

Clever idea for a very typical scenario "boy and girl back together". The tune has an Eagles, Sawyer Brown or Zac Brown feel. Very nice fiddle work and your nasty wind offers a great visual for lots of options of what that storm is or was. Your hook is very prevalent. I really enjoyed this song and look forward to hearing more from you.

Extremely well produced country music. Very strong vocal performance. Lovely arrangement across the board, great performances generally and violin holds the whole together nicely. Very radio friendly sound, could also imagine TV and film uses as well.

Great tune. Excellent recording. Great vocals. Nice feel. Good transitions. Nice hook. I like the fiddle in the background. Nice harmonies.

Great vocals/ vivid imagery
