Lyrics

Searching for Love
©2020 Greg Lambert

I'm ain't looking for a perfect ten
I don't have to know just where or when
I know love will find its way
I'll keep waiting for that day

Never gonna give up, never gonna give in
Never gonna change the life I'm living
Never gonna back off, never gonna slow down
Never gonna give up trying

Never gonna drop it, never gonna stop it
Never gonna say I'm too far from it
Never gonna hold back, never gonna lose track
Never gonna give up searching for love

I ain't looking for a dream come true
Or the kind of love that's over the moon
I need two feet on the ground
To be with me in life's ups and downs

Chorus

Bridge

I'll keep my eyes open wide
Searching for the love for all of my life

Chorus

That is country tune brother! LOVE the melody and the lyrics,
Pitch the hell out of it!!!!

Just loved it. It sounded familiar, comfortable but original, all at the same time! Difficult to describe the feeling, but it just seemed like a good country songs from the outset. I'm meaning to be flattering here, just hard to put it into words.
Lots of luck with the song, it deserves it Greg.

Dude, you don't need the six pack to prove you have what it takes. If Covid-19 puts Nash-Vegas back to work, they should give you won table because you are a winner.

Nice song, Greg. Solid with positive lyrics about strength and determination. The subject makes it very marketable. I like the contrast between the verse and chorus, but wonder if the chorus could have more power. Overall, this song's message is very positive and powerful and, with a more specific arrangement and more committed vocal, could roll easily into excellent. The lyrics center on strength and personal commitment and need a more distinctive--maybe more hard hitting--arrangement to really showcase the song's potential to inspire. All best, Hattie

If were I were gonna do anything to this...On the first chorus I would sing just half of it....followed by a verse then the whole chorus....but you'll need another verse. Nice song...still in my head...good job Greg.
