A new co-write with Don Tucker that we're both excited about!
This song has a good, contemporary feel and sound. The listener could hear this as a Christian message or more on the secular side as someone who has found the love of his life. I like that ambiguity because it has broad appeal to those that are not saved or in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Maybe it will get them to think in that direction.
Hiding In The Dark (Tucker/Lambert) I used to be scared of my own shadow Wondering where it had just come from Was it hiding in the dark Can it lead me to where you are Time to tear down all these walls And make a new start Chorus I wanna be rescued I wanna be freed I'll give you my best if you would walk with me I'm leaving the shadows For the light in your heart The only thing I'm sure of no more hiding ... in the dark I was alone until you showed up I had friends it was never enough I kept waiting for the sun To break the clouds And shine on me Right now you're the only one I'm ever gonna need Chorus Instrumental Bridge Your love brightens up my day Clouds lift and roll away Your love has liberated me (Repeat)
