Story Behind The Song

I was looking at the Edvard Munch painting "Love And Pain," and I was inspired to write this song.

Song Description

The storyteller tells her new boyfriend that she understands him to be a womanizer, a love them and leave them type, but explains that she has always been the same way. She says that Love and Pain, as well as other contrasting concepts, often go together. Her conclusion is that they deserve each other and just might be able to make it work between them.
