Song Description

To me this music sounds like travelling by canoe through some wild, wild northern Wisconsin back country. The other image is that of lovemaking by a golden candlelight.

Story Behind the Song

Of all the 200-some pieces I have written, "Holy Frontier" is indeed one of my most favorite...and to think I wasn't sure it was going to amount to anything until almost the completion, after the percussion was added.

Lyrics

A short musical statement played (or is it prayed?) twice-through a series of achingly beautiful, etheric, heaven-like harmonies featuring a simple solo piano up-front. The second time through, delicate percussions and bass are added, creating a truly magical, eloquent, beautiful piece.
